Wotan's Wolf

I figured I'd pull a bit more inspiration from our potentially final snow, listening to Enslaved, and the program on the Dark Ages I watched on the History Channel Sunday night. The program was good, but didn't tell me too much that I didn't already know. The re-enactors were excellent... except for the non-Nordic Vikings. That was kind of unusual.

The helmet is based off an Anglo-Saxon helm. I had one little tiny sort-of reference pic for that, but not much of one... (Thank you Mr. Darken, for being so awesome that I taped a picture of your LARPing greatness to my notebook; just for times like these)

I thought a lot about all kinds of things while working, and it became more of a personal piece than originally intended... But that's what art is all about. I'm happier with this piece in its imperfection than then a 'perfect' final product that isn't part of me.

I'm so glad my creative block is lessened. Its not gone yet, though...
